Hi, I am Ida, a student who tries to learn English every day. I spend my leisure time by reading English newspapers and writing my diary in English. All I want to do is just to practice and get to know English better. Even though I’ve read lots of English newspapers and have written in English as well, my English grammar is still not in order.
On the weekends, I always watch movies whose subtitles and dialogues are in English. They help me improve my listening, my spelling, and my vocab, as well.
thank you

Hi Igor,
Great except the following two:
1. Preposition + noun or Preposition + verb-ing; by writing, for correcting, for helping
2. Help + verb1 or help + to + verb1; help + O + verb1 or help + O + to verb1; help me improve or help me to improve.

Hi Ida,
It’s a great English learning experience and those in red, however, are just some minor problems.
And here are my suggestions:
And lastly, what about if we modify the title a bit to: “My English Learning Experience” or “My Experience in Learning English”?

Hi Ida,
Menurut saya tidak usah diganti, biarkan seperti yang awal, karena sudah ada koreksinya.

Halo Ida, I would like to ask something related to your sentence “even then i read lot of English newspaper and write as well”. Why did you use “even then” and “as well”?. Why didn’t you use ” eventhough” and sentence without as well? what is the meaning as well in Indonesia?
thanks for your attention.Â

Hi Newman,
1. EVEN THEN
I suggested Ida to use even though (or, although, despite, in spite of) because of the clause “I‘ve read a lot of English newspapers and have written in English as well“, which is a paraphrase from “I spend my leisure time by reading English newspapers and writing my diary in English.“Â
Here, even then would also be suitable and still similar in meaning, but we need to omit that clause,Â
Other examples:

2. AS WELL = too = also
