English-Indonesian Translation

I’ve got an English text to be translated into Indonesian, but I’m having a hard time to do it. So, if you could give me any hint, it would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance.

For a single-user computer or workstation not attached to , network, or for a network server, the SOFTWARE is considered “in use” when any portion of the SOFTWARE is either loaded into temporary memory, i.e., RAM (Loaded) or stored onto a permanent memory device such as a hard disk (Stored) attached to that computer or workstation.

For single-user computers or workstations attached to a network, the quantity of the SOFTWARE “in use” is considered to be the greater of (i) the maximum number of computers on which the SOFTWARE is Loaded at any one time, or (ii) the maximum number of computers on which the SOFTWARE is Stored.

On a multi-user computer, the quantity of the SOFTWARE “in use” is considered to be the maximum number of sessions executed at any one time.

And, the following one is my translation. Don’t hesitate to correct it guys..

Untuk pengguna komputer atau komputer bersama yang terhubung ke jaringan, atau untuk server jaringan, perangkat lunak dianggap ‘’digunakan” jika bagian dari perangkat lunak dimasukkan kedalam RAM atau disimpan ke perangkat memori permanen seperti hard disk yang tersambung ke komputer pribadi atau bersama itu.

Untuk pengguna komputer pribadi atau bersama yang terhubung ke jaringan, kuantitas perangkat luinak “digunakan” dianggap menjadi lebih besar dari jumlah maksimal komputer dimana perangkat lunak dimasukkan atau jumlah maksimal komputer dimana perangkat lunak disimpan.

A workstation is a computer intended for individual use that is faster and more capable than a personal computer. It’s intended for business or professional use (rather than home or recreational use). Workstations and applications designed for them are used by small engineering companies, architects, graphic designers, and any organization, department, or individual that requires a faster microprocessor, a large amount of random access memory (RAM), and special features such as high-speed graphics adapters. Historically, the workstation developed technologically about the same time and for the same audience as the UNIX operating system, which is often used as the workstation operating system. Among the most successful makers of this kind of workstation are Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, DEC, and IBM.

This is my Indonesian version which is slightly different from Christ’s.

Untuk komputer atau workstation dengan satu pengguna yang tidak terhubung ke suatu jaringan, atau yang tidak diperuntukkan sebagai server jaringan, perangkat lunak tersebut dianggap ‘’sedang digunakan” jika ada bagian dari perangkat lunak tersebut yang dimuat ke dalam memori sementara, yaitu RAM, atau yang disimpan di memori permanen, misalnya hard disk, yang terpasang di komputer atau workstation tersebut.

Untuk komputer-komputer atau workstation-workstation dengan satu pengguna yang terhubung ke suatu jaringan, kuantitas perangkat lunak yang “sedang digunakan” adalah yang lebih besar antara (i) jumlah maksimal komputer yang memuat perangkat lunak tersebut ke dalam memori sementara, (ii) dan jumlah maksimal komputer yang menyimpan perangkat lunak tersebut di memori permanen.

Untuk komputer dengan banyak pengguna, kuantitas perangkat lunak yang “sedang digunakan” adalah jumlah maksimal sesi yang dieksekusi (dijalankan) pada waktu tertentu.

Thanks a lot for correcting my translation, Sir. After I read your Indonesian version, Seems I am not only bad at making English text but Indonesian as well. Thanks for the meaning of the ‘workstation’ as well. I was totally misunderstand about it.
